Seth Pearson grew up in Big Spring, Texas making his competitive debut on the little league field. His high school athletic pursuits included football, basketball, swimming, ultimate frisbee, and track, which ultimately led to the opportunity to compete in the decathlon and heptathlon as a collegiate athlete.

On the track and field team at Angelo State University and Texas A&M-Commerce, Seth earned three-time 2nd team All-American and one-time 1st Team All-American honors, after a career high 5th place national finish.

After graduation, Seth was a volunteer pole vaulting coach for TAMUC and privately coached high school athletes in pole vault, high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, and the hurdles before moving to College Park to pursue his PhD in Material Science Engineering at the University of Maryland.

Missing the consistency and community of team sports, Seth shifted his personal athletic pursuits to CrossFit and earned his CF-L1 in June 2021. He loves being back in the gym surrounded by driven athletes and is excited to have the opportunity to coach again, helping his peers build both strength and a sense of pride in themselves.
